You may find yourself constantly on alert, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or struggling with anxiety, sleep, or relationships without fully understanding why. These responses are not signs of weakness; they're often the nervous system's way of adapting to overwhelming experiences. When we work together, my first question isn't "What's wrong with you?" It's "What happened to you?" From there, we'll explore how your experiences continue to affect your daily life and develop a treatment plan that supports healing without losing sight of your strengths. When medication is appropriate, I prescribe thoughtfully and collaboratively. The goal is never to numb emotions or replace therapy. Instead, medication may help regulate your nervous system, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and create the stability needed to engage more fully in your healing. If you're working with a therapist, I'll gladly collaborate with them so your psychiatric care and psychotherapy complement one another.
I commonly support patients experiencing:
- Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)
- Childhood and developmental trauma
- Medical trauma
- Acute stress reactions
- Trauma-related anxiety
- Dissociation
- Trauma-related insomnia and sleep disturbances
Experiences of racism, discrimination, minority stress, immigration, historical trauma, cultural expectations, and identity-related stress can have profound effects on emotional and physical well-being. Yet many people have experienced healthcare environments where these realities were overlooked or misunderstood. At Camellia Wellness, I strive to create a space where you don't have to explain why your experiences matter. I approach every appointment with cultural humility, recognizing that I can never assume your story. Instead, I'll listen with curiosity, respect, and openness as we explore how your experiences may be influencing your mental health today. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that honors both the science of psychiatry and the unique context of your life. I am committed to providing affirming, inclusive psychiatric care for adults throughout Washington State, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and anyone seeking care that respects the complexity of their lived experience.
Together we may address:
- Racial trauma
- Minority stress
- Identity-related stress
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Burnout
- Chronic stress
- Trauma across the lifespan
- Life transitions
Inside, you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, unable to relax, or constantly questioning whether you're doing enough. Many professionals, healthcare workers, caregivers, entrepreneurs, and leaders spend years functioning at a high level while quietly living with anxiety, burnout, depression, or chronic stress. You don't have to wait until you're falling apart before seeking support. Together, we'll identify what's contributing to your symptoms and build a personalized treatment plan that fits your life. Depending on your needs, that may include medication management, lifestyle strategies, stress reduction, and ongoing adjustments as your circumstances evolve. My fully virtual practice offers flexible, confidential psychiatric care that fits into your schedule without sacrificing quality or connection.
I commonly help patients with:
- Generalized anxiety disorder
- High-functioning anxiety
- Depression
- Panic disorder
- Burnout
- Chronic stress
- Mood disorders
- Adjustment disorders
- Career and life transitions
When sleep is disrupted, anxiety often feels more intense, depression becomes harder to manage, concentration declines, and everyday stress becomes more difficult to navigate. Whether you've had insomnia for years or your sleep has recently changed, I believe sleep concerns deserve careful evaluation—not simply another prescription. We'll work together to understand what's contributing to your sleep difficulties. Sometimes the underlying cause is anxiety, trauma, depression, chronic stress, medication, or significant life changes. In other cases, there may be medical or behavioral factors that deserve additional evaluation. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss the potential benefits, risks, and long-term plan together. I also incorporate education on healthy sleep habits and evidence-based behavioral strategies that support lasting improvements. The goal isn't simply more sleep—it's more restorative sleep, so you can feel present, energized, and better able to enjoy your life.
I commonly treat:
- Chronic insomnia
- Difficulty falling asleep
- Frequent nighttime awakenings
- Early morning awakening
- Anxiety-related insomnia
- Trauma-related nightmares
- Shift work sleep disruption
- Medication-related sleep concerns
Fee schedule
Care Consultation Meeting (10–15 min) · Complimentary, Secure Video
$0
Choosing a psychiatric provider—especially one who understands trauma, systemic stress, and whole-person wellness—is a deeply personal decision. This brief, low-pressure video call is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face, discuss what brings you to care, and determine if our practice is the right fit for your goals. Please note: This consultation is an administrative and fit-assessment visit, not a clinical evaluation. Diagnoses will not be made and medications will not be prescribed during this brief call.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (60–75 min)
$300.00
This comprehensive first session involves a deep dive into your clinical history and a thorough holistic assessment to guide our work together.
Follow-Up & Medication Management (45 min)
$175.00
We typically meet every 1–4 weeks during the early stages of treatment, transitioning to a cadence of every 1–3 months once stability is established.
Psychotherapy add-on (30 min)
$75
Add-on to standard medication management. While brief, supportive check-ins are always woven into your standard medication visits, some healing journeys call for a deeper space to process emotions, uncover behavioral patterns, or learn somatic self-regulation tools. Adding dedicated 30-minute psychotherapy to your follow-up appointment allows us to bridge biology and emotional processing in a single, seamless session. Instead of coordinating with two separate providers, we can spend equal time fine-tuning your medical care and exploring the psychological, relational, or trauma-informed strategies that support your long-term mental well-being.
Out-of-network practice. Many patients are reimbursed —Camellia Wellness is an out-of-network practice. Many patients are reimbursed by their insurance — see how Medicare workssee how Medicare and superbills work here.
